A donkey-belly afternoon dressed in winter clothes she decided to quit the piano lessons while going down-stairs, there were no windows.

Her hands are thin, with long fingers and short nails of long surface.
Her memory, relative. she can play repetitions exercises to forget, not finding them usefull.
Interest and her hands, only description of what she learnt.

The lessons won't help her to improvise, so she made the desition of keeping those hours busy with other subject.

Now her hands hold,
stand by the sides while she see things, or just let herself be. There is no need to give explanations when you just are.

They put the filter on her lips,
lead a pencil,
touch the softest skin,
they tear chocolate,
grab hard,
hold the wine glass.
Lead,
click and show obscene signs to the ones that honk.

Make the stone of the lighter sound as if the fire was for a lady,
They get inside you, of your nose.
My hands bite and touch the softest skin.

My mother says I became one of those strange women that instead of make labours, read. That I look like my grandmother. She only heard her voice, i never saw her.
María Mandinga won't be a pianist. All in all, she only learnt to stare, move and pray attention to her hands.
Thanks got they didn't allow me to change the piano for a motorbike. I will play again when my hair turns white. I like the lines and finishing. I will recognize myself on the black reflection.

Until then the girl will play other things. Breath-in in front of what she wants to see.

This is all I can say about the process of having hands today.

WE WERE BORN CANARIES

-WE WERE BORN CANARIES-
